Olivier Morvan has been appointed as Director of the newly established Chesterton Humberts office in Nice. The office is the latest Chesterton international office to open in Western Europe and demonstrates the company’s confidence in the strength of the property market on the French Riviera. The office will operate as Chesterton, the firm’s international brand.
Born and raised in Nice, Olivier Morvan graduated from the local business school before starting his career in financial advisory with BNP Paribas. Olivier later settled in London to begin his career in real estate in 1995.
Morvan quickly established himself as a successful agent in the London market and was eventually recruited by Hamptons International to run their French Department. In 2002 he established the firm’s first overseas branch in Nice, covering the whole of the French Riviera.
Olivier Morvan has also worked for Savills, establishing their Saint Paul de Vence office in south-eastern France, where he currently lives with his wife and two daughters.
Andrew Hawkins, Head of International, comments: “Increased Chesterton presence in this stretch of the Riviera has been high on my list of priorities for some time now. This part of France is universally popular with buyers and investors from across the Globe. I am absolutely delighted that Olivier has agreed to spearhead our growth in the Cote d’Azur. He has a fantastic wealth of local experience and is a perfect fit for the Chesterton brand.”
“We are already seeing the fruits of this new venture in a fiercely competitive market. The new office in Nice will work closely with our very successful operation in St Tropez and together, both offices are able to offer clients a comprehensive marketing solution across the Cote d’Azur.”
Olivier Morvan comments: “Chesterton is already a well-known international property firm in France and I am delighted to be adding to the company’s continued success and increasing their presence along the French Riviera. The area is an exceptionally popular destination amongst international buyers and Chesterton’s eagerness to build upon their success here demonstrates their understanding of the mature French property market and the potential it has to continue attracting buyers from all over World.”
Robert Bartlett, CEO of Chesterton Global comments: "Across the world we look for exceptional individuals to drive the expansion of the Chesterton brand. Olivier is such an individual and I am delighted that he has chosen to join us. The South of France has developed into an important growth area for us as we continue to see an increase in demand.
"On the back of our recent opening in Malta a few weeks ago, and our continued future expansion in Italy and other European countries through the course of this year I am confident that Chesterton will become a force of strength in providing expert advice and guidance to our clients in these regions.”
